TriPower names Mike Severns as Executive Vice President Healthcare Technology

Las Vegas, May 9th, 2009- TriPower Group announced Mike Severns has been named Executive Vice President of Healthcare Technology. Mr. Severns brings over 35 years of healthcare technology experience to TriPower. He will be responsible for delivering in-building wireless and technology solutions to the healthcare sector.

Most recently, Mr. Severns served as Technology Integration Manager for PeaceHealth Hospitals where he managed the technology consultants and oversaw 17 low voltage contactors deploying systems in the new 1.2 Million sq ft Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. Considered one of the most technologically advanced medical centers in the U.S., the hospital deployed a robust Distributed Antenna System (DAS) providing reliable indoor public safety radio, cellular and wireless LAN coverage.

Severns' healthcare experience includes 16 years as a director of facilities and construction, 10 years directing clinical engineering departments and 8 years as a Chief Technology Officer with major hospitals throughout the United States and Middle East.

Mr. Severns is a Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). From 1993-1998, he served two board terms and is the incoming Chair of the Healthcare Technology Committee. He is actively involved in both ASHE and the American Hospital Association (AHA) where his work has included initiating committees on leading-edge technology issues as well as chairing the Planning, Design and Construction Committee (PDC) for 3 years. As a consultant, his duties included educating hospitals around the country on the benefits of technology planning, smart design and technology integration.
