TriPower Unveils First-to-Market Public Safety DAS Platform

Las Vegas, May 9^th, 2009- TriPower, a leading turn-key wireless coverage solution provider, today introduced the first commercially available multi-carrier Distributed Antenna System (DAS) platform capable of supporting first responders in the 700 MHz band.   To be unveiled at the annual In-Building Wireless trade show, the high power multi-carrier DAS manufactured by SOLiD Technologies supports frequencies from 100 MHz to 2.5 GHz across a single fiber backbone.  Designed to adhere to new jurisdictional requirements for first responder radio coverage, the SOLiD DAS platform also allows customers to include cellular, PCS, WiFi and 4G coverage over a converged, modular platform housed in a NEMA compliant enclosure.

Since the events of September 11^th, the need for in-building public safety communication coverage has become a critical requirement to ensure first responder and public life safety.   Reliable indoor coverage has become an important issue causing many jurisdictions to adopt coverage requirements including those referenced in the National Fire Prevention Act (NFPA 2009) code.

The SOLiD multi-carrier DAS platform, including the 700MHz capability, is FCC certified and UL approved.  The system is in production and has been delivered to TriPower's U.S. customers.
