Wireless Integrator Makes Safety a Top Priority for New
Residential Complex
San Jose, CA / July 24, 2007 -- Reliable and effective in-building communication among public safety officials during an emergency is critical, as evidenced during the tragic events on September 11, 2001. Since then, many municipalities and government agencies have passed laws requiring builders to ensure adequate public safety coverage in all new developments.
As a result, Tri-Power Group, a leading wireless integrator, has announced its selection by Opus West Corporation to install a code-compliant Distributed Antenna System (DAS) in an exclusive residential complex located in Irvine, Calif.
3000 The Plaza is a 15-story high-rise condominium located minutes from Irvine’s primary business centers and will be completed by June of 2008.
Tri-Power’s DAS will guarantee compliance with all safety codes and ensure firefighters, police officers and other public safety officials will have interoperable communication capabilities in the event of an emergency.
“The Plaza’s Distributed Antenna System is the first of its kind to meet the new Irvine ordinance requirements for in-building public safety,” said Bryan Kemper, VP of wireless technologies for Tri-Power.
He added, “It’s a fiber-based solution that enables officials to operate radios and also offers the ability to enhance additional wireless technologies in the future.”
With over 750 completed DAS installations, Tri-Power Group has emerged as an experienced leader in projects that must meet stringent safety codes--a determining factor for Opus West’s decision.
