When a structure is still under construction, a physical site survey is not feasible.  In these situations, we use software-modeling tools to simulate the anticipated coverage. Coupled with our experience, the software tools are extremely helpful in minimizing the wireless infrastructure network costs, while increasing the in-building coverage for the intended wireless technologies.

As shown below, these software packages can efficiently represent different scenarios based on frequencies of technologies, placement of wireless repeater antennas and signal strength. Although we never solely rely on these tools, they enable us to validate the effectiveness of our design so we can guarantee that the wireless design we create provides the in-building coverage results we’ve proposed.
